Two arrested in industrialist abduction case
Jamshedpur, Sept 26 (UNI) Two members of Bihar's notrorious criminal gang were arrested from Patna lastnight in connection with the kidnapping of industrialist Krishna Bhalotia from Kanderbera village at national highway near here on September 2 last.
Mr Bhalotia was, however, released by the abductors on Septemeber 16 in Patna.
A police team from Jamshedpur and Seraikela jointly launched a drive to bust the gang of hardcore criminal Dilip Singh of Hajipur.
The police team arrested Chandan Sonar and Suman Singh, who were brought here today.
Police recovered Rs 50,000, fake driving license and two mobile phones from their possession.
Superintendent of Police of East Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan districts Ashish Barta and Laxman Prasad in a joint press meet said the gang, led by Singh, were involved in more than dozen kidnapping and other criminal cases in Bihar.
They said the police team with the help of Bihar police had intensified raid to nab Singh and his associates involved in the industrialist's kidnapping.
Mr Batra ruled out any other intention of abduction.''It's a pure and simple case of kidnapping'' he said.
He said though Mr Bhalotia was denying of giving any ransom for his release but the arrested criminial had confessed that ransom amount was given by Mr Bhaloita.
