Two arrested for different rape incidents
New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) The Delhi Police today arrested two persons in connection with two different incidents of rape.
In the first incident 22-year-old Sanjib, a resident of Sundar Nagri in the Nand Nagri police station area, was arrested for raping a 15-year-old girl living in his neighbourhood.
In her complaint, the girl alleged that the accused had been raping her for the last three to four months after promising to marry her.
In the second incident a young man Iqbal was arrested for raping a 16-year old along with three of his accomplices.
On a complaint lodged against Iqbal by parents of the girl, who went missing on September 22 night, the police arrested him.
On being questioned, he revealed that the girl was with another person Shamshad, a resident of Bijnore. A police team sent to Bijnore recovered the girl from Shahshad's residence though Shamshad managed to escape.
The girl revealed that an acqaintance Sonu had sent her to Iqbal. When she reached the place, Iqbal, along with Shamshad, Sonu and another person Raju present there raped her.
Police has launched a search for the remaining persons.
