Sensex trades 24 pts up in noon trade

Mumbai, Sept 26 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitve Index (Sensex) is today trading 24 points up, even as it pared gains from the previous high, after profit booking emerged in the index pivotals.

Sensex is currently at 12,198.52.

Earlier sensex opened in the green by 33 points and reached a high of 12,241.08 and a low of 12,160 points till now.

Also, the benchmark Asian indices in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan were down between 0.1 - 0.8 per cent.

Amongst the sectoral indices on the BSE, FMCG led the losers with a decline of 0.48 per cent and was followed by PSU, down 0.21 and Consumer Durables down by 0.19 per cent.

Major gainers on the BSE-30 index were HDFC, Bajaj Auto, Reliance Industries, Wipro and HLL all down between 0.69 to 1.48 per cent.

Besides the losers are Bharti Airtel, ITC, ONGC, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim Industries, Reliance Energy, Hero Honda and BHEL all down between 0.03 to 1.09 per cent.
