Security beefed up in Tripura, arms recovered
Agartala, Sep 26 (UNI) Security has been tightened in Tripura after the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered arms from a bus at Jaharnagar under Ambassa police station area in Dhalai district in Tripura.
Police sources said here today that acting on a tip-off, the BSF jawans found five bombs and a country made pistol in a brief-case from a bus plying on National Highway 44 yesterday. The bus was proceeding towards the capital city from the North district headquarters of the Kailashahar.
No one has been arrested so far in this connection.
The BSF has been carrying out search operations in all vehicles coming from other parts of the state or from outside to the capital city.
Tight vigil has been maintained in densely populated areas and commercial places in the capital before the Durga pujas.
