Rupee opens four paise down at 45.98/99/USD

Mumbai, Sept 26: The Indian currency today opened down by four paise at Rs 45.98/99 per US dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.94 per US dollar, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid-morning trade, rupee was trading at the opening rate only.

The stock market, however, opened strong by 33 points and is currently trading 43 points up at 12,217.50 points.
