Rs 2.25 lakh netted thru spl checking drive

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 26: The Thiruvananthapuram Railway division has netted Rs 2.25 lakh from various cases of ticketless or irregular travelling and unbooked luggages last week.

The amount was realised during a special checking drive led by senior Divisional Commercial Manager and ticket checking staff from September 20 to 22.

As many as 557 cases of ticketless/irregular travellers and 492 cases of unbooked luggages were registered, a railway release said here today.
