Rajasthan VHP to support agitation against Haj House

Jaipur, Sep 26 (UNI) Describing the Haj House controversy as non-political, Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Rajasthan unit has decided to support the agitation against its construction in the Hindu-dominated Sanganer area here.

Avdesh Pareekh, VHP's state media incharge said in a statement today that VHP will support the agitation being carried on by Sanganer Bachao Sangharsh Samiti (SBSS) and there was no question of pulling out as VHP is one of the main constituents of the SBSS.

Clarifying that VHP's international general secretary Giriraj Kishore's statement denying any involvement of VHP with Haj House, was his personal view, he said the the VHP activists had taken prior permission before aligning itself with the SBSS's protests and the first phase of the project has been completed successfully with the help of local people.

Mr Pareek said the VHP and Bajrang Dal activists are now engaged in garnering support against the building of Haj House in the rural areas and town of Sanganer. He addd that the programmes for the second phase of the agitation would be announced soon.
