Prof Sabharwal murder case: 4 accused sent to judicial remand

Ujjain, MP, Sep 26 (UNI) A local court today remanded the four accused in Professor H S Sabharwal murder case to judicial custody up to September 29.

ABVP workers Hemant Dubey, Sudhir Yadav, Vishal Rajouria and Pankaj Mishra were today presented before Judicial Magistrate R S Madia, who sent them to Central Bhairavgarh jail.

Earlier, the court had sent two other accused -- Shashiranjan Akela and Vimal Tomar -- to judicial custody up to September 29. All six accused would be presented before the court on September 29.

Professor Sabharwal had died in student violence in Madhav College on August 26 over postponement of student unions elections.

Students had also assaulted Professor M L Nath and ransacked the college premises. Police had arrested 25 NSUI workers and 13 ABVP workers in this connection. However, all of them were out on bail.
