Plant manufacturing fake mineral water unearthed

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) The Delhi Police have unearthed a big plant indulging in selling local mineral water under the name of reputed brands like Bisleri, Kingfisher and Chivas and arrested one person in this connection.

Thirty-year-old Hemant Kumar was arrested during a police raid at the plant at Dabri in South West Delhi. Interrogation of the accused revealed that he had been running the fake plant for the past few months at this rented place which he used to supply to various areas of Delhi, police said.

Wrappers, holograms and seals of reputed brands like Bisleri, Kingfisher and Chivas were recovered from the plant.

In other incidents, the police arrested a bootlegger from Model Town on Sunday and recovered from him a total of 275 quarters liquor while 20 Kg of Ganja was recovered from two drug peddlers arrested from near Shalimar Bagh in North Delhi yesterday.
