Pandove re-elected BCCI Joint Secretary
Chandigarh, Sep 26 (UNI) Punjab Cricket Association secretary MP Pandove has been re-elected as hon joint secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India for the next two years as no other nominations were filed against the present teams of the office bearers with the returning officer.
The deadline for nominations closed at 3:00 p.m today. It means, the present team led by Sharad Pawar, as President, Niranjan R.
Shah as Hony. Secretary, MP Pandove as Hony Jt. Secretary and N.
Srinivasan as Hony. Treasurer, would continue till September, 2008.
Formal declaration would be made tomorrow when the Annual General Body Meeting of the Board takes place.
Having played first class cricket for 17 years, a lot of responsibilities have fallen on his shoulders. Hon Jt Secretary of the BCCI is in-charge of Junior Cricket and Umpiring Committee of the Board.
Moreover, after two years MP Pandove, is all set to be the next Hon Secretary, BCCI, for three years i.e. till end of 2011, which is also the year of World Cup to be organized in this Sub-Continent.
