Nikkei flat after opening lower, Sony gains

Tokyo, Sept 26: Tokyo's Nikkei share average was little changed on Tuesday after edging down 0.25 percent at the start of trade as gains by technology stocks such Sony Corp.

largely counterbalanced losses by oil firms.

The Nikkei was down 0.06 percent at 15,623.66 as of 0008 GMT.

The broader TOPIX index was down 0.04 percent at 1,559.22.
