Naidu demands CM quit post

Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy should resign 'owning responsibility' in the alleged 'Outer Ring Road (ORR) land scam'.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu alleged that the politicians, representatives of the people and officials were involved in the 'scam' by changing the alignment of the proposed ORR.

The land acquisition for the project taken up by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) on the outskirts of the city, had rendered many poor farmers landless, Mr Naidu said and alleged that they were given nominal compensations.
