Mourinho expects tough game for Chelsea at Levski

SOFIA, Sep 26 (Reuters) Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho expects Champions league debutants Levski Sofia to give his outfit a good run for their money when they meet in a Group A match tomorrow.

''The first home game for a team making their Champions league debut is always special and we know it's going to be a difficult night for us,'' Mourinho told a news conference.

''We would be very happy to come away with a 1-0 win on Wednesday because we need the three points and so do Levski, who are better than their opening 5-0 defeat at Barcelona might suggest,'' he said.

Mourinho expects captain John Terry to be fit for the tie and said he would field the best team available.

''We have solutions in any case and the best team at our disposal will play,'' said Mourinho, who dismissed suggestions that his Levski counterpart Stanimir Stoilov might come out with a defensive formation in search of a draw.

''Even if they think that Barcelona and ourselves are too strong for them and favourites to go through to the round of 16, Levski are surely looking for a third-place finish ahead of Werder Bremen and a UEFA Cup berth.'' ''They need to win games and I firmly believe they will have a go at us to get a result and that's what their manager will tell them to do.'' ''They have done very well to become the first Bulgarian club to qualify for the Champions League group stage and their UEFA Cup run last season was also very impressive.'' Levski reached the last eight of the UEFA Cup and lead the Bulgarian first division by a point from CSKA Sofia after beating them 1-0 in a recent derby.

Mourinho said he had to work hard to prepare his team for a difficult away game in uncharted territory.

''Away games in Europe against teams with a different culture and philosophy are always more difficult than those in the Premier League because we are very familiar with that style.'' REUTERS BDP KP2334
