Metal prices rises on heavy industrial demand
Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) Metal prices rose on heavy industrial demand along with the London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In ferrous section : copper heavy and copper utensils hiked by Rs 300 each per quintal while brass utensils and brass cuttings increased by Rs 200 each per quintal on lesser stock supply.
In non-ferrous section : copper wire bar and zinc slab went up by Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectivley on increase of fresh demand.
Nickel cathode sh ot up by Rs 30 per kg better buying support.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,400, Copper utensils - Rs 32,500, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,300.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 12,500, Zinc slab - Rs 19,000, Lead ingots - Rs 6,900, Tin slab - Rs 515 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,750 (per kg).
