Man quizzed over Harrow school murder

LONDON, Sep 26 (Reuters) A man suspected of killing the daughter of a teacher at one of the country's most exclusive private schools was discharged from hospital today and taken away by detectives for questioning.

Officers want to quiz the 22-year-old man over the death of Lucy Braham, 25, who was found stabbed to death at her parents' house in the grounds of Harrow School in northwest London 10 days ago.

Braham's father is the director of art at the boys boarding school, where annual fees are 24,825 pounds a year.

The suspect, who media reports have identified as the son of another Harrow teacher, was found at the house also suffering from stab wounds.

He was taken to west London hospital in a critical condition but was discharged today and taken to an east London police station where he is still in custody, Scotland Yard said.

In a statement issued after her death, Braham's family said: ''Her death flies in the face of all that is decent.

''It is the cruellest tragedy that someone so gentle should have her life snatched away so senselessly. Her family and friends all miss her terribly.'' REUTERS AB BS1811
