Lifestyle brand announces expansion plans
Mumbai, Sept 26: Gini and Jony Apparel Pvt ltd, India's leading kids and teens lifestyle brand has announced the opening of its new corporate office at Andheri Mumbai.
The occasion was marked with a fashion show unveiling the brand's new autumn/ winter 2006/07 collection. The show was compered by Mini Mathur, former MTV VJ and co host of Sony's Indian Idol talent hunt show. Children between the ages of 6 to 10 years modelled the collection which featured textured fabrics layering and floral prints in keeping with latest global trends. Capris, jeans, T Shirts, shirts, jackets sweaters were showcased on the ramp.
In addition to the new corporate office, Gini and Jony has also opened a new regional office at Gurgaon and four new factories two in Daman and two in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh . These new facilities offer a total production capacity of two million units per annum.
''This expansion is in line with our aim of consolidating our position as the premium kids and teens lifestyle brand in India. Our success in the domestic market has prompted us to set our sights on foreign shores. We plan to leverage our existing capabilities and domain knowledge for greater visibility in the international markets, making Gini and Jony a global kids and teens lifestyle brand,'' said Mr Prakash Lakhani, Managing Director Gini and Jony Apparel Pvt Ltd.
The brand recently announced a joint venture with Pantaloon Retail India Ltd with a view to expand its retail operation across the country. The new company is called GJ Future Fashion Limited.
