Inzamam hearing scheduled for The Oval
LONDON, Sep 25 (Reuters) Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will return to The Oval this week for the International Cricket Council (ICC) code of conduct hearing into charges of ball tampering and bringing the game into disrepute.
A statement from the ICC today said the hearing was scheduled for The Oval on Wednesday and Thursday.
The charges follow a protest by Pakistan on the fourth day of the fourth test against England at The Oval last month when they refused to take the field after the tea interval.
Their action followed a decision by umpires Darrell Hair and Billy Doctrove to change the ball and penalise Pakistan five runs during the afternoon session.
The match was awarded to the home side when Pakistan were deemed to have refused to play - the first forfeit in the history of test cricket.
