Court remands Syam to judicial custody

Vijayawada, Sep 26 (UNI) The third additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court today remanded Syam, accused in the Vangaveeti Santan Kumar shoot out case to 14-days judicial custody.

The Magistrate K Chidananda passed the orders after Syam surrendered in the court earlier in the day.

Sanan Kumar, who was critically injured in the shoot out was discharged from the hospital after he recovered. However, his associate Vara Prasad died in the firing on August 18.

Earlier the same court sent key accused in the case Musunuri Srinivas , Kalidas Subrahamanyam , B Narsingh and C Koteswara Rao to judicial remand.

They were presently lodged in the city sub-jail after their term was extended by the court.

The remaining accused included TDP senior leader Katragadda Malleswara Rao and Sunil Reddy, who were allegedly involved in the shoot out incident, were yet to be arrested.
