Congress should apologise to country: Naidu
Mumbai, Sept 26: BJP vice president Venkaiah Naidu today said the Congress should apologise to the country for the controversy that it had created over Vande Mataram.
Speaking at a function, Mr Naidu said the Congress first announced the centenary of the national song and later withdrew it.
Describing the entire controversy as an insult, the former BJP president said the Congress should apologise to the country for the same.
He said the BJP was carrying the nationalistic agenda, while the Congress was hypocrite.
Mr Naidu said his party would launch a nationwide programme from today till October two to highlight the minority appeasement policies of the Congress.
The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government should announce the details of the talks held between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Parvez Musharraf, he demanded.
