College ransacked

Kancheepuram, Sep 26 (UNI) Police have registered a case on a complaint from a lessee of a private college who claimed the institution's owner ransacked the place and damaged the equipment.

Police said Kathamuthu, running a private engineering college at Orgadum, near Sriperumbudur, gave the institution on a two-year lease to Pappa Rajendran.

Rajendran started running a medical college in the leased premises following which Kathamuthu asked him to vacate the land and hand over the possession to him.

When Rajendra refused, an incensed Kathamuthu yesterday ransacked the college after breaking open the locks and damaged computers and furniture.
