Civic employees beaten up by villagers for dumping waste

Kolhapur, Sep 26 (UNI) Four Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) employees were today beaten up Hanbarwadi villagers for dumping slaughter house waste in their village.

The employees have been identified as Kiran Kamble, Dayanand Dhale, Prashant Undale and Sunil Chaugule. They have been admitted to a KMC hospital.

The villagers also damaged the vehicle in which the wastes were brought, KMC sources said. The KMC deputy commissioner and few corporators later visited the site and assured the villagers that the place would be cleaned up.
