Canteen facilities now for central police force personnel
New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) More than seven-and-a-half lakh personnel of the para-military forces would benefit from the government's initiative to establish a Central Police Force Canteen System (CPFCS).
The CPFCS would serve not just the serving forces but also their families and the retired personnel, according to the Home Ministry.
The effort was part of the Home Minister's commitment to provide better working conditions for Central Police Force personnel, especially in the wake on their recent involvement in the anti-terror and counter-insurgency operations.
The new system is likely to come into force within a few weeks, the ministry added.
