Bengal sculptor in critical condition
Santiniketan, Sep 26(UNI) India's famous sculpture Sobnath Hore has been admitted in a hospital in Viswabharati after he was found to be in a critical condition.
Doctors here said his condition is critical and is kept in Intensive Care Unit.
Sobnath Hore (85) was born on 13th April 1921 in a small village of Srihatta, now in Bangladesh.
He came here in the year 1967 and had spent a major part of his life in Kalabhawan as a sculptor.
In 1970s he was also attached with the Left Movement, sources said.
Mr Hore have bagged several awards like Kalidas prize, Lalit Kala academy award, Gagan Aban prize and many at both national and international level, sources said.
The state government has assured the district administration to take the responsibilty towards Mr Hore's treatment.
