Aviva ties-up with Oxford Bookstore to expand customer base

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) In a one of its kind tie-up, Aviva Life Insurance (ALI) today entered into a strategic alliance with Apeejay Oxford Bookstore (AOB) to offer financial solutions to customers in their retail outlets across India.

Oxford Bookstore has stores in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore. It also plans to open retail outlets in Goa and Chennai in October this year.

''The tie-up is an opportunity for us to expand our customer base,'' ALI's Director (Bancassurance and Business partnerships) Anil Sahgal said.

The insurance products that will initially be available to the customers of Oxford Bookstore are Safeguard (endowment plan), LifeLong (whole life plan), EasyLife Plus (endowment product) and LifeBond5 (a 5-year recurring premium investment cum protection plan).

''This tie-up will allow us to offer better value added services to our loyal customers,'' AOB's CEO Rajiv Chowdhry said.

Aviva Life Insurance is a joint venture between Dabur (74 per cent) and Aviva (26 per cent). It has 35 million customers worldwide and 332 billion pounds assets management.
