AP CM releases Mahabharatham
Tirumala, Sept 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today released the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) publication 'Sri Madandra Mahabharatham' comprising 15 volumes at Asthanamandapam here on the second-day of the annual Brahmotsavam.
Seers of various mutts and others, who participated in the function felicitated the Chief Minister.
Dr Reddy, who arrived on a two-day visit here and offered a pair of 'pattu vastrams' to lord Venkateswara last evening, visited the temple again to for the second time today.
Accompanied by Endownments Minister J C Diwakar Reddy and Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, the Chief Minister was received by TTD chairman B Karunakar Reddy, Executive Officer APVN Sarma and other officials at the temple entrance.
The TTD officials escorted Dr Reddy to the sanctum sanctorum. The Chief Minister offered prayers for more than ten minutes before the main deity of the temple.
Earlier, Dr Reddy participated in the Sudharsana yagam' performed by the temple chief priest Ramana Dikshuthulu.
Later, he flew back to the state capital.
