We are true revolutionaries: PLA President

Imphal, Sept 25: People's Liberation Army(PLA) president Irengbam Chaoren on the occasion of PLA's 28th foundation day today have reminded people that they are the true revolutionaries.

In a press release Mr Chaoren said PLA is one of the oldest and the most powerful insurgent group in the region and urged for the whole-hearted support of the people.

He said the PLA's political wing, the Revolutionary People's Front (RPF), stands for true democracy and an egalitarian society.

'' The present development in Manipur is incomparable with any of the independent countries of the world,'' he said.

He accused the Mizo National Front to have abandoned its principles and ideology of revolution after the Mizoram Accord was signed.

'' Talks with NSCN(IM) also failed as revolutionary condition no more existed in Nagaland,'' he said.

Though Dalai Lama had visited 312 places of the world to attract international attention for Tibet's issue, it never made any impact on the Chinese Government due to lack of revolutionary condition in Tibet, he added.

He raised a question that instead of suspecting the terrorists, why people have held the revolutionaries responsible for the recent bomb blast in ISKCON temple here.

He clarified that the revolutionaries of the state have their ideals and never mix their work with terrorist activities.

Blaming the state government for creating confusion and chaos here he urged the government to solve the infiltration issue as over 30 per cent of the population here were outsiders.

He said during the freedom struggle of East Timor against the Indonesian Army, the strength of Fretilin guerillas were reduced to a mere 200 but the endurance of the Fretilin was successful in liberating East Timor from Indonesia.
