UNI takeover bid a matter of concern: JAR

Jaipur, Sep 25 (UNI) Journalists Association of Rajasthan (JAR) today protested the reported takeover bid of UNI and said it will affect the news agency's independent character.

JAR's state chief Anil Mathur said the takeover bid by Essel group is a matter of concern as a news agency's independent character does not let any bias creep into the news which is important for a healthy democracy.

He said agitations will be launched against the move.
