Sting operation:Ghaziabad SSP asked to file affidavit

Allahabad, Sep 25 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has directed the SSP of Ghaziabad to file personal affidavit on a policeman's writ petition challenging his suspension following a sting operation named 'Operation Yamraj'.

Justice V K Shukla observed the confidence of public has to be reposed and prima facie such elements in police force could not be permitted to be retained, in case their conduct is such as reflected on screen, till they clear themselves of the charges.

The court will hear the case on October 31.
