SIA appoints new GM for India operations

New Delhi, Sep 25: Singapore Airlines (SIA) has appointed Mr Foo Chai Woo as the new general manager for India operations.

Based in Mumbai, Mr Foo takes over the reign from Mr B.K. Ong who had been managing the operations for almost four years.

Mr Foo will be responsible for overseeing SIA's operations across eight cities, business development and marketing and sales activity as well as exploring strategic and synergistic alliances with like-minded partners.

''I am sure there will be many challenges ahead,'' said Mr Foo.

''But India is an exciting market with numerous opportunities that are now available especially in this sector. I am looking forward to my tenure here.'' Mr Foo has been working with SIA for over 11 years now.
