Sensex up by 21 points in the opening move
Mumbai Sept 25: The Bombay Stock Exchange opened 21 points in the green at 12,257 compared to the previous close of 12,236, as the global market firmed up.
However, the sensex is in narrow range since then and is trading at 12,226.43 points. It has oscillated to a high of 12,267 and a low of 12,207 since morning.
Amongst the sectoral indices on the BSE, Banks , Consumer Durables, FMCG, IT and Metals are trading in the red.
The major gainers on the BSE-30 index are Tata Motors, Reliance, Bharti Airtel, Hero Honda, BHEL, Reliance Energy, ONGC, NTPC and Maruti Udog, all up between 0.04 to 1.66 per cent.
Besides, the losers are Bajaj Auto, TCS, Dr Reddy's lab, IC, HLL, L&T, HDFC, ICICI, Grasim industries and Infosys, all down between 0.40 to 1.19 per cent.
