Rupee weakens by four paise to close at Rs 45.94/USD
Mumbai, Sept 25: Indian Rupee today lost four paise to close at Rs 46.94 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 46.90 per US Dollar, as the crude oil price dipped to a six month low of US Dollar 59.85 per barrel mark, said a money market trader.
Earlier, Rupee opened at Rs 45.89/90 per US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at 45.86/86/US Dollar.
RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.86 /US Dollar compared to the previous rate of 45.94 per US Dollar on Friday.
The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.25 per cent and the one year forward premia was also fixed at 1.29 per cent.
The Rupee performance against other currencies however was mixed, against Euro Rupee closed at Rs 58.68, against Pound Sterling it closed at Rs 87.30 and against Yen it closed at Rs 39.40.
