Rajasthan roadways on strike from Oct 11

Jaipur, Sep 25 (UNI) Rajasthan Roadways employees will go on a three-day long strike from October 11 against the government's apathy towards their demands.

The Rajasthan State Roadways Employees Union (RSREU) members said here today that they will be holding sit-ins at all their units from Oct 5 till the beginning of the strike. All employees will also take part in a torch rally on Oct 9.

RSREU members are demanding recruitments of more drivers and conductors instead of making the existing ones work for more than 16 hours a day.

They are also demanding that the salary cut of conductors should be stopped in the name of lesser revenues for the roadways.

Several other demands are also long pending.
