Punjab announces team for North Zone badminton championship

Jalandhar, Sep 25 (UNI) The Punjab Badminiton Association has announced the state team which will participate in the North Zone Interstate Badminton Championship scheduled to be held in Jammu between September 28 to 30.

A seven member team comprising Harinder Singh-(Captain)(Patiala), Sahil Arora(PSEB), Mohmmad Saleem (PSEB), Vijaydeep Singh(Ludhiana), Navdeep Singh(PSEB),Opinderpal Singh(Jalandhar) and Gurmukh Singh (Ludhiana) will participate in the Men's section for the Rahimtoola Cup, an association release said here today.

Besides this, four member team comprising Navita Thakur and Jaspreet Randhwa (both Patiala) and Sehar Chadda and Sania Sareen(Amritsar) will participate in the Women's section.

A four member boys team comprising of Sahil Katlaria and Prabhjit Singh(both National Sports School) and Gurbax Singh and Raj Kumar(Ludhiana) and a four member team of girls comprising of Sehar Chadda and Sania Sareen(Amritsar), Shehnaz(Patiala) and Neelam Kumari(National Sports School) will also represent the state in the tournament.
