PSEB, RCF win in Gurmit Memorial

Chandigarh, Sep 25 (UNI) Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala overcame strong contenders Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in a tie-breaker (7-6), while Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) ousted Canara Bank of Bangalore by an aggregate of 5-3 following another tie at the 36th S N Vohra's Gurmit Memorial Hockey Tournament at the Sector 42 Stadium here today.

RCF and CISF were tied 2-2- in the stipyulated time period after locking harns 1-1 at half time. RCF, however, won the preliminary match 6-5 in the shoot-out.

Similarly, PSEB and Canara Bank were evenly matched and shared four goals in the stipulated 70-minute session.
