Mumbai, Sept 25: Precious metals remained steady on moderate demand in the opening session today, traders at the bullion market said.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 18,155 Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,885, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,930.
