Moderate quake in the Andamans

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale shook the Indian Ocean just south of Andaman Islands this evening, the India Meteorological Department said.

The quake was felt at 1711 hrs. Its epicentre was recorded at 10.5 degree northern latitude and 92.1 degree eastern longitude, a Met office statement said.
