Man stabbed to death by uncle

Kolhapur, Sep 25 (UNI) A 35-year-old-man was stabbed to death by his uncle at village Ternee in Gadhinglaj tehsil of this district.

The deceased, identified as Piraji Irappa Katigar of village Ternee, was returning home from his field last evening, when his uncle Kallappa (50), attacked him with scythe in which Piraji died on the spot, according a complaint registered by Piraji's brother, police said today.

The cause of the crime reported was old land dispute between them. Kallappa was absconding, police added.
