Kotak Mahindra bank launches 'Gold eternity'

Mumbai, Sept 25: Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore and her actor daughter Soha Ali Khan today launched Kotak Mahindra bank's 'Gold Eternity'-24 carat, pure swiss Gold bars at a glittering function here.

Talking to reporters K V S Manian, head retail liabilities and branch banking, Kotak Mahindra bank said Gold Eternity is the latest offering from Kotak bank which further adds to their bouquet of investment products.

Available in an attractive tamper-proof pack, Gold Eternity bars come in 50 gm and 100 gm weightages manufactured in Switzerland by PAMP, one of the world's premier gold refiners. The biscuits carry 99.99 per cent Assay certification, signifying highest level of purity as per international standards, he added.

''Gold performs the function of a wealth preferver in a portfolio. It helps hedge the risks against growth asset classes like equity and in India Gold has the highest penetration than any other financial product'', Mr Manian added.

Kotak Mahindra has a group net worth around Rs 2840 crore which currently services over 1.6 million customer accounts and has over 800 employees across 264 cities and towns in India, New york, London Dubai and Mauritius.

In a brief interaction with the reporters on the occasion, Sharmila Tagore, the veteran actor of yesteryears who ruled the hearts of cinegoers for years by her beauty and acting was joined by her daughter Soha Ali Khan in saying that in India gold was considered as one of the very important investment in the life.

Gold has its important as far as ornament and investment is concerned and it has more value particularly in India even though platinum and diamonds are also being used, Ms Tagore said.
