Kingfisher to operate new flight between Hyderabad, Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Sep 25 (UNI) The Kingfisher airlines would launch a daily flight between Hyderabad and Vijayawada from today.

Talking to UNI over phone from Bangalore, an airline official said the new flight would formally be inaugurated this afternoon at Hyderabad and Vijayawada simultaneously.

The ATR aircraft flight IT-2831, having 66-seater capacity, would leave Hyderabad daily, except on Tuesdays, at 1520 hours and arrive in Gannavaram airport at 1615 hours.

On the return route, it will leave from Gannavaram airport at 1645 hours and arrive in Hyderabad at 1740 hours.

On Tuesdays, the flight will leave Hyderabad at 1555 hours and reach Gannavaram at 1650 hours. On its way back, it will leave Gannavaram at 1715 hours and reach Hyderabad at 1810 hours.

The fare charged for the flight would be higher than the Air Deccan' charges for the same destination, the official informed.

There was no plan at present to operate its flights to the remaining cities in the state, he said adding that the aircraft is the first in the ATR segment that will operate in Andhra Pradesh.
