HP Cabinet approves Rs 110 cr subsidy to agri consumers

Shimla, Sep 25 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government today decided to provide subsidy to the tune of Rs 110 crore to domestic and agricultural categories of consumers and Antodaya/BPL families and other domestic consumers.

In the last fiscal year subsidy of Rs 88.51 crore was provided to the domestic and agricultural category of consumers.

The decision would benefit over 30.04 lakh consumers of different categories. It would facilitate the socio- economic development of the domestic and agricultural consumers.

This decision was taken in the meeting of the cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

The Cabinet also approved Recruitment and Promotion Rules for the post of Superintendent Grade II (Non-Gazetted) in the Department of Home Guard and Civil Defence.

The cabinet also approved to give Rs 1000 annually per child of destitute mothers having two children under Mother Terisa Asshaya Matri Sambhal Yojna for upbringing of their children till their child/children attain the age of 14 years.
