Haryana bans fertiliser imported from UAE

Chandigarh, Sep 25 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to ban the sale of 48 metric tonnes of NPK 19:19:19 (100 per cent water soluble) fertiliser imported from UAE by M/s Ezzy International of Khargaon in Uttar Pradesh.

Director of Agriculture Department R K Khullar said the decision had been taken after receiving an intimation from the centre in this regard.

A sample of the fertiliser was declared Non Standard by the Regional Fertilizer Control Laboratory of Navi Mumbai with regard to urea Nitrogen and water soluble Potash, he added.
