Govt orders enquiry into Photographer attack incident

Hyderabad, Sep 25 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and Special Chief Secretary A Raghotham Rao as enquiry officer to enquire into the incident of alleged manhandling of a photo-journalist by Controller of Legal Metrology R P Meena on September 21 at his office.

The government directed Mr Rao to enquire into the incident and submit a report to government at the earliest, an official release said.

Earlier, the Hyderabad Union of Journalists (HUJ) submitted a memorandum to Home Minister K Jana Reddy demanding an enquiry into the incident.
