George's episode in JD(U) is unfortunate: Joshi

Patna, Sep 25: Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today refused to comment on the issues related to JD(U) leader George Fernandes but termed the entire episode as 'unfortunate'.

Mr Joshi was commenting on reports that Mr Fernandes had approached Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Mr Joshi told mediapersons Mr Fernandes' quitting of the JD(U) was hypothetical till date. However, he mentioned that it was totally an internal matter of the party and it would be improper for him to comment on any such internal bickerings.

To a query, Mr Joshi said that he had come to know about the matter through the media and Mr Fernandes had so far not contacted the BJP on the matter.

The party would decide its stand only after the National convenor of the NDA approached him.
