Epigon launches magic speaker
Bangalore, Sep 25 (UNI) A software based on cutting edge audio algorithm techniques in audio domain has been developed by the city-based Epigon Media Technologies to enhance speaker output, yet maintaining the originality and clarity of the music.
Epigon Chief Product and Business Development Officer R J Venkataramanan told newspersons here today that Speaker Magic was a plug in for Windows media player. The product would also be soon launched on Winamp, he added.
Costing almost half the price of a similar product available in the United States, Speaker Magic adopted continuous signal processing and enhanced the threshold level and brought up low level and transient signals, normally missed by speakers. Speaker Magic gave customisable signal processing for better fidelity. It could amplify signal digitally by using volume drive without saturating the signal.
Mr Venkatramanan said the software was currently offered as an alpha release and could be downloaded freely by the users. It would soon be released in embedded audio products.
The company, which had initially developed products in internet radio, focussed on creating broadband and broadcast multimedia end client products. It had already provided products to the World Space. It also provided niche communication base band expertise and synthetic music Ipods. Some of its intellectual property and reference designs were being manufactured and marketed in global market.
