Eight couples vie for baby
Harda, MP, Sep 25 (UNI) It was case that might have made even King Solomon himself contemplate real hard before pronouncing a judgement.
Eight couples were contending for custody of an infant found in a railway coach and District and Sessions Judge Gulab Sharma ruled in favour of Ganjbasoda-resident childless couple Dinesh and Chandra Agrawal who were in tears after the judgement was delivered.
The baby was found on September 5 in a passenger train at the railway station here by Mumbai-resident Rizwan. The district administration conveyed the kid to the district hospital.
Rizwan, who has neither a son nor daughter, expressed a wish to adopt the child. But within days, eight couples -- from Indore, Chhindwara, Betul, Ujjain, Itarsi, Harda and Ganjbasoda -- were in the fray.
