Depression in South Bengal weakens
Kolkata, Sep 25 (UNI) The depression over South Bengal, which caused last week's deluge, has weakened since this morning, met office sources said today.
Although the sky is expected to remain cloudy with one or two spells of rains, the depression over the region has become weak, sources said.
With the sun playing hide and seek, businessmen in this Durga puja-bound city tried to make up for the lost time owing to the heavy rains earlier.
The city registered a minimum temperature of 27 degree Celsius and maximum of 32.1 degrees Celsius.
The city recorded rainfall of 0.08 mm in the last 24 hours.
However, Kolkata reeled under high levels of humidity of around 96 per cent.
The districts reported some spells of rains.
