Court admits Salman's absence notice
Jodhpur, Sep 25 (UNI) The hearing in black buck poaching case could not be held in a court here today due to the absence of the main accused actor Salman Khan.
Salman's counsel Hastimal Saraswat produced an application in the court of District and Sessions judge Govardhan Singh Surana today, saying the actor be excused from appearing in the court as he is shooting for the film ' Partner' in Bangkok.
The court while admitting Salman's application fixed the next hearing of the case on October 27.
Jodhpur's chief judicial magistrate had sentenced Salman to one year imprisonment and fined him Rs 5,000 for killing two black bucks in Bhavad village on February 17 this year.
The court had also sentenced Salman to five years jail and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 for killing a chinkara in Ghoda farm on April 24, The actor had challenged the sentences in two different appeals in the District and Sessions Courts.
It is to be noted that Salman has been found guilty for poaching black bucks on the nights of September 26-27 and September 28-29,1998 but all other accused including Satish Shah were freed.
