Controller of explosives arrested for graft in Chandigarh

New Delhi, Sept 25 (UNI) The CBI today arrested a controller of explosives in Chandigarh on charges of graft.

A K Yadav was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,500 for issuing permission to store furnace oil from a representative of a Himachal Pradesh-based private firm.

Afzal Karim, a lower division clerk, was also arrested for fixing the deal.

Searches in the office and residence of the two accused is being carried out by the CBI.
