Cong to hold protest rally against BJP misrule

Jaipur, Sep 25 (UNI) The state Congress unit will stage a protest rally on October 5 at the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha against the BJP government's anti-people policies.

Stating this at a press conference here today, state Congress chief B D Kalla said the rally termed 'Jaipur Chalo' would protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, mismanagement of flood and drought relief programmes, costly power and the unufulfilled promise of giving eight hours of uninterrupted power supply to farmers, inadequate compensation for Kama mishap victims and increasing crimes against women.

Mr Kalla said the rally outside the Vidhan Sabha will be held peacefully and in a democratic manner even if the administration fails to provide them permission.

Union ministers and other Congress leaders Sis Ram Ola, Namo Narain Meena, Mukul Wasnik and Sachin Pilot have also been invited to participate in the rally.
