Coffee-table book on Kerala released

Kochi, Sep 25 (UNI) Cine star Mohanlal today released a coffee-table book, 'Stark World-Kerala.' Speaking at the function here, Mr Mohanlal said the book has done the impossible by capturing the true beauty of Kerala.

''I always thought Kerala is beyong description, beyond explanation...it is impossible to capture the extraordinary beauty of the state through books, pictures or even cinema. But I was wrong,'' he said.

The 816-page book is the first-of-its-kind destination books and includes 1,300 breathtaking pictures that capture the land, people, culture, festivals and everyday life in the state, Publisher P N Shanavas claimed.

The book is a result of detailed research involving specialist writers, consultants, photographers and a team of designers and imaging experts, he added.

To portray a diverse perspective in the edition, articles of prominent personalities would be featured in the book, Mr Shanavas noted.
